Head Scarves

Emily decided she wanted to wear a head scarf to bed recently. Peyton quickly insisted she wear too. Aren't the cute!?!

Peyton woke up with the best hair. Generally it is a crazy, frizzy, curly mess. She was so happy to have straight hair and not have to endure the flat iron. Although she much prefers her curls!

And just in case you wondered, Emily wakes up with perfect hair every morning! Although she often wishes she had her sisters curls!

Back to School...Only 1 Month Late!

August 24th was a HUGE milestone in our household. We sent Emily off to kindergarten. Chris and I both are still in shock that she is off to "big" school. However, she was more than ready and is loving every minute of school!

Here she is already to head out her first day!

Peyton returned to Pre-School as well. She graduated to the 3 year old class over the summer. She was very excited to go back and see her teachers and friends!

We were greeted by the Principal and Assistant Principal singing "We will Rock You!" as we arrived. Their theme this year is "Bevis Rocks!"

This picture cracks me up! I can't wait to show here this one in 10 years. She did not want me to take any pictures in the classroom!

WOW...

So, it's been a really LONG time since we have posted anything to this blog.  You could say life has been going a millions miles an hour.  Since our last post both the girls have had birthdays.  Emily is now 5 and Peyton just turned 3.  Emily has had her first dance recital and graduated from VPK.  My mom got married and we spent a week with my brother and his family.

We are enjoying the summer and looking forward to the fall.  Chris will be starting his 2nd year of as band director at Newsome High School, Emily will be starting kindergarten, Peyton will be entering the 3 year old class at her school and Beth will be starting a new job in August, which will hopefully allow her more time to update the blog!

Moving Out!

The other night Peyton got mad and decided she was moving out. She gathered all her important items. Which included her Dora backpack, her ABC hat, her "mankie" and a few of her stuffed animals. I couldn't for the life of me figure out where she would have gotten the idea, until yesterday when we were watching an episode of Olivia after nap time. In the episode Olivia gets mad at her little brother Ian and decides she is moving out. Who would have known!

I told her how much we loved her and wanted to stay. She quickly decided her bed was much more welcoming than the world outside!

Meet Piper!

On Thursday we added to our family, a miniature Australian shepherd we named Piper. Piper is the sweetest little girl. She is very playful and LOVES to cuddle. The girls are over the moon about her! Emily has been on repeat telling us, "Piper is the BEST dog EVER!"

Ahoy Mateys!!!

The girls celebrated Gasparilla at school today. For all you non-Tampa people it has to do with a pirate invasion. It is celebrated every year with a children's parade, a day parade and a night parade. They throw beads off the floats much like Mardi Grais.

Anyway, the girls dressed up like pirates for school today, had a parade, and got to play some carnival style games.
